Project overview

BEAM is a USD 25 million impact fund designed to invest in BBOXX Ltd as well as in greenfield and early‑stage solar home system (SHS) distribution companies operating in countries where the electric grid is either inaccessible for a large share of the population or unreliable and insufficient. The fund is managed by Bamboo Capital Partners, an impact investment firm focused on energy, financial services, and agribusiness across emerging markets.

EDFI ElectriFI invested USD 8m in the BEAM investment platform to deploy early stage equity capital for distributed energy service companies (DESCOs) and unlock further debt capital.
