Agora Microfinance Zambia to Enhance Employee Training with Technical Assistance Funding from EDFI Management Company 

Brussels, Belgium & Lusaka, Zambia – 10 June 2025 – Agora Microfinance Zambia Limited (AMZ) and EDFI Management Company (EDFI MC) announced today their partnership to enhance AMZ’s employee training programs through a new technical assistance initiative of EDFI MC. This project aims to support AMZ’s capacity building in risk management and digital financial service provision, ensuring the company’s growth and operational efficiency. 

Agora Microfinance Zambia is a microfinance institution dedicated to serving low-income, rural households in Zambia. In operation for 14 years, AMZ counts nearly 500 employees and is focusing on providing quality training to its staff. 

“We are delighted to extend our support to Agora Microfinance Zambia through this technical assistance project,” said Natalia Svarinska, Technical Assistance Specialist at EDFI MC. “By strengthening their risk management and digital financial service capabilities, AMZ will be better equipped to serve its customers and achieve sustainable growth.” 

EDFI MC’s technical assistance funding is funded by the European Union and will amount to EUR 19,000.
